| Village of Vyhne is located in Ziar nad Hronom county, in the middle part of Slovakia, around halfway from banska Bystrica to Nitra. It is also very near Banska Stiavnica, UNESCO national and world heritage site. The first written mention of the village Vyhne dates back to 1256 AD, when it was a small mining village. Throughout the centuries it changed from mining, through beer-brewing, metalworking, to contemporary engeneering and notable spa village. Its' natural heritage includes a well known thermal spring with 36,5 C (100 F) temperature and a european rarity - Kamenne more (Sea of stone).
